Jerome Alan West, often known by his nickname Jerry West, is a ball captain and former player from the United States. West is now serving as the main board member for the NBA organisation known as the Los Angeles Clippers. He is widely considered to be one of the 50 greatest players in the history of the NBA and is very probably the ball player who has developed the most during their career.

He had a successful career in the National Basketball Association for 14 years, winning the title of NBA Champion with the Los Angeles Lakers in 1972. He was selected for the NBA All-Star Game and the All-NBA team numerous times during the course of his career. He was the co-captain of the United States basketball team that triumphed at the 1960 Summer Olympics, taking home the gold medal. Following his retirement, he has been awarded a respectable number of accolades.

After retiring from playing basketball, he joined the Los Angeles Lakers coaching staff in 1976 and advanced to the position of general manager in 1982. As a senior supervisor with the Lakers, he has achieved success in the NBA Championships on several occasions. In subsequent years, he was a key member of the Golden State Warriors’ championship teams and took home the NBA title in 2015 and 2017.
