- Now, in the register, pick “No,” and fill in the information as it is displayed in the image that follows this one.
- Now, navigate to “Application” and complete the form for “APPLICANT INFORMATION” with the necessary information.
After you have followed the directions that are displayed on the screen, you will be brought to the “Applicant Information” page. Here, you will have the opportunity to modify or amend any of the details that pertain to you. You are required to submit a fresh application for NBI clearance in the same manner as if you were applying for clearance for the first time after updating or modifying any essential information.
The process of changing your surname is considered a fresh application, regardless of whether or not you already have your NBI clearance. This is the case even if you have your clearance. You are need to admit that this procedure is considered to be a new application simply due to the fact that you are altering some significant aspects of your name.
It is possible that you or someone with the same name as you (for example, a person named Robert) has a criminal record or information in their records if the status of your NBI clearance application is “hit.”
If your document states that it has “NO CRIMINAL RECORD” yet there is no active case against you, this might mean that the NBI has records for a suspected offense that you committed in the past or that it is common for someone else with a similar name to be found in those records.
The rate for the NBI Clearance Fast Renewal is PHP 330, which includes a processing fee of PHP 130 and an express delivery charge of PHP 200, for a grand total of PHP 355.
